We originally designed this collection for The Pearl Cabana Club, a retro boutique hotel in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida that’s basically the definition of vintage beach glam. When The Pearl got a total glow-up, our friends and the new owners, Lanika & Sarah Jon asked us to create custom wallpapers for all 10 suits, and you know we couldn’t resist a chance to dive into some serious Gulf Coast inspiration. Think: laid-back beach days, retro gulf culture, and that iconic spring break energy that St. Pete is known for.
A Little Bit of Old-School Florida, A Whole Lot of Personality
These wallpaper designs are playful, vibrant, and just the right amount of quirky, exactly what you’d expect from a vintage-inspired beach hotel. We’re talking:
Skinny Dip Bikinis – Sun’s out, buns out! Our scattered string bikini wallpaper is a cheeky nod to carefree spring breaks and endless beach days.
Daughters of Triton Mermaids – A whimsical nod to Florida’s famous mermaid culture (yes, that’s a thing!) with dreamy underwater details.
Tropical Palm Frond Stripes – Classic beachy stripes get a fresh twist with lush green palms — like you’re lounging poolside under swaying palm trees.
Alligator Alley – A cheeky nod to Florida’s wild side, with bold, graphic gators weaving through lush greenery.
We even created a Matchbox Print inspired by the retro matchbooks you’d find in a vintage beach bar all inspired by actual iconic destinations along the coastline.
